          Performance Fuel Systems Information

Why are Performance Fuel Systems Part(s) Important

The main job of Performance Fuel Systems is to supply fuel to your engine’s cylinder chamber. The more worked the engine is, the greater the demand on the performance fuel system to not only supply more fuel but to do it in a scalable way.

Once in the cylinder chamber, the fuel is mixed with air, compressed and burned to provide power to your vehicles engine. It does this by storing fuel in a fuel tank and transporting it via a fuel pump. The fuel must pass through fuel lines and a fuel filter before being fed into either a carburetor or fuel injector. Today’s vehicles are usually one of two fuel types, Gasoline or Diesel. Every component of your fuel system, from your gas cap to your fuel injectors, is an important part of how your engine operates.

All currently produced United States vehicles use what’s known as a fuel injection system. This type of performance fuel system uses computers to control injectors which provide lower emissions and better fuel economy. The traditional method of mixing fuel and air in the performance fuel system was the use of a Carburetor. Carburetors are mostly mechanical, and mix fuel and air without computer assistance. Their simple construction requires frequent maintenance and can’t compete with fuel efficiency of computerized injectors.

If any critical part of your performance fuel system were to fail, you run the risk of losing all engine power. Ensuring that your performance fuel system is in working order creates a fully fed performance vehicle.
