Spark Plugs
There are many sub-systems involved in making an engine work, but none are as vital as the ignition system. Spark Plugs create the spark in the engine which ignites the fuel. A well timed ignition system can make or break an engine's performance and efficiency.

Why are Spark Plugs Part(s) Important
There are many sub-systems involved in making an engine work, but none are as vital as the ignition system. Spark Plugs create the spark in the engine which ignites the fuel. A well timed ignition system can make or break an engine's performance and efficiency.
The spark plugs do just what their name suggests: they spark when they get the electrical impulse. The spark leaps across the gap between the electrodes on the end of the plug. The type of plug and size of the gap are determined by the engine manufacturer but one electrode is usually steel and can vary in shape depending on the level of performance wanted by the manufacturer. Many newer plugs use platinum or other elements in the construction to extend the life of the plug lowering overall maintenance costs. If not changed regularly, corrosion on the plugs can inhibit the spark plug's ability to create the required spark.
Bosch Platinum Spark Plug - This spark plug is designed to conduct the best spark possible while still fitting directly into the factory holes.
Champion PLugs Platinum Power Spark Plug - This spark plug maintains stable operating temperatures under different conditions and is designed for longer life.
