Relays, Sensors, Switches & Electronics Information

Why are Relays, Sensors, Switches & Electronics Part(s) Important

Many various Relays, Sensors, Switches, and Electronics play a vital role in the process of starting your engine. The starting system begins in the cabin with the key which triggers the various starting sensors, switches, and relays. Through a long process, the starter solenoid activates the starter motor that turns the engine over until the engine begins its internal combustion process. Everything up until the moment of combustion within the cylinder is considered to be part of the car starter system.

There are many other odds and ends parts that go into your starter system. For example, there are heat shields that protect vital parts, cables that connect one part to another, and a plethora of sensors and switches required to coordinate a clean start. Without these parts, the starter system wouldn't be going anywhere.

Standard Starter Cable - This starter cable can withstand high temperatures and is designed to prevent breaks and hot spots.

Taylor Starter/Starter Cover Heat Shield - Because the starter motor is deep in the bowels of the motor, this heat shield protects it from heat damage.
