Your Vehicle's Heater Core is an integral part of your vehicle's Air Conditioning and Heating system; which keep your interior at a comfortable temperature. Hot coolant flows through the heater core warming the air before returning to the radiator to be cooled down. The hot air from the core is pumped into the cabin to warm passengers and protect them from outside temperature. In this inter-connected system every part is absolutely necessary, especially your Heater Core.

When your heater is activated, coolant is diverted from your main radiator and into your heater core. Your heater core acts as a secondary radiator taking hot coolant from your engine and releasing that heat into the air. The warm air is then pushed by a blower into your cabin.
