          Belts, Hoses & Clamps Information

Why are Belts, Hoses & Clamps Part(s) Important

Belts, Hoses, and Clamps are all important to your car's cooling system. About 66% of the energy produced by your engine is wasted as heat energy and must be dissipated to prevent overheating. The engine's cooling system is series of tubes send coolant around the engine with the purpose of absorbing the heat and rushing the wasted energy away. The belts, hoses, and clamps help to keep the coolant moving through your cooling system.

The water pump belt connects the water pump to the crankshaft in order to drive the pump. This circulates the coolant throughout the engine, radiator, and heater core. The hoses are made of a special compound to resist the heat and corrosion and carry the coolant between the components; the clamps secure the hoses firmly in place. For high performance engines, there are braided steel covered lines designed to better resist the higher heat and pressure in the cooling system.

Dayco Lower Curved Hose - This cooling hose is designed to withstand high temperatures and funnel coolant around your engine.

K&N Barrel Lock Style Hose Clamp - This clamp helps to hold your hoses firmly in place.
