Creating an account

Creating an account at AutoShepherd is easy. Once you've filled your cart with the parts you need, click the "checkout" button. You'll be taken to a page where you can log in or sign up for a free AutoShepherd account. (That means no, you don't have to create the account before you start shopping -- just go ahead and start your search and selection. We'll take care of the rest when you're ready!)


Shopping

Finding your way around AutoShepherd

You can search for accessories, replacement and performance parts in one of four ways: by Vehicle, Category, Keyword/Item#, or Brand.

Search by Vehicle

If you'd like to see all the parts we carry that are work with your car or truck, simply enter its year, make and model, and you will be able to filter our entire inventory for direct-fit parts. In most cases, you'll need to enter your sub-model and engine type as well, so we can be sure to offer only the items that will fit.

Search by Category

If you'd like to shop by category, glance over any of the nine categories listed and click the category or sub-category that you'd like to browse through. To make sure you don't forget any related parts, we've divided car parts into their respective systems so you can see all the parts connected with that particular system all at once.

Search by Brand

Do you have a preference for a certain brand? On AutoShepherd's website, you can also browse our inventory by brand name. We carry products from the leading brands in the auto aftermarket industry. Trusted brands can be found on the left hand sidebar. Click to browse through all the parts we carry by that particular manufacturer.

Still can't find the part you need?

Enter a keyword or part number in our Search Shepherd in the upper right hand side of any page, and we'll sniff out the part you're searching for.

Placing an order

Add the part you need to your cart after you select the quantity you want by clicking "Add to Cart". Our shopping cart will appear on the left. If you want to keep shopping, minimize the shopping cart. You can view it again by clicking "View Cart" at the top right of any page.

If you're ready to buy, click "Proceed to Checkout". You will be asked to log in to your account or sign in as a guest. If you want to create an account, click "Sign up Now" and follow the onscreen instructions.

Enter your billing, shipping and contact information, then "Continue Checkout." You'll be asked for your payment information, followed by a confirmation page.

 


Ordering Information

Payment Options

Currently, AutoShepherd accepts payment by Credit Card or Google Checkout. You may provide us with your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or your Google Checkout account information as payment for your order. We secure all transmissions using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software to ensure that your information is always safe.

Sales Tax

AutoShepherd charges applicable sales taxes to any order shipping to the state of California. For further information concerning California sales tax, please refer to www.boe.ca.gov

Changing or canceling an order.

If you need to cancel or make a change to an order you've already placed, please contact our friendly customer service via e-mail at customerservice@autoshepherd.com. Please note that we can only cancel or modify an order before the order has been shipped. If an order has already been shipped, please e-mail our customer service staff so that we may issue you a Return Authorization (RA) number. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, no returns can be processed without an RA number.

International Orders

Unfortunately, we currently only ship orders within the 48 contiguous United States. We unfortunately do not offer shipping to Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands, or to P.O. Boxes, APOs, FPOs, or Military Mail Boxes.

Core Deposits

The Core Deposit is similar to the deposit paid in many states for a recyclable container, like a soda bottle or aluminum can. When you return the empty container to be recycled, you receive your deposit back. Similarly, some automotive parts have valuable components which can be remanufactured or recycled. In order to encourage the recycling of these parts, a "Core Deposit" is charged in addition to the listed price of the part.

When you place an order for a part with a Core Deposit, you will be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to return your core. Once you have your new part installed, and the old part is ready to be shipped back, please contact our helpful Customer Service folks to get an RA number to return your core. When the core is received, you'll be issued a refund in the amount of your core charge. Please be advised that you will have 30 days from the day your order is shipped to return your core and receive a refund of your core deposit. Shipping charges for returning your core are your responsibility.


Order Status

Order Tracking Numbers

Once your order is shipped, you will be sent an email with your tracking information. Your tracking number will also be available to you under the "Order History" tab in "My Account". You can use this tracking information to track the progress of your order right to your front door.

Order Delivery Time

Please allow 5 to 9 business days for your order to reach you. We generally ship products from our distribution centers within two business days, once payment is received. Transit time is an additional 3 to 7 business days, depending on how far you live from our distribution center.

Retrieving your password

Signing up for an account is utterly completely optional and free. Any customer may place an order on our website by checking out as a guest. If you've created a login for easy checkout, but you've lost your password, you may recover it by using our password recovery tool on the login page. To do this, you will need at least one item in your shopping cart. Once you have an item in your shopping cart, you can click "Proceed to Checkout" to be taken to the login page. Click the "Forgot your password?" link and follow the on screen instructions to recover your password.


Shipping and Delivery

Shipping costs and timeframes

Shipping costs are estimated by location and weight of the package. Our orders generally process and ship from our distribution centers within two business days from the time your payment is received. Your package will spend another 3 to 7 business days in transit, depending on the distance it needs to travel from our distribution centers. We'll send you an email with your tracking information as soon as your order is shipped so you can track your package's progress until it reaches your front door!

Free Shipping

At AutoShepherd, any order over $50 before applicable sales taxes will be shipped for FREE!

International Ordering and APO/FPO

Unfortunately, AutoShepherd does not ship internationally or to APO or FPO address.

Shipping Restrictions

AutoShepherd does not currently ship to PO boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, or military mail boxes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


Returns

Returns

Autoshepherd wants every customer to be completely satisfied with their order. If you aren't, our "no hassle" return policy lets you shop with confidence.

For most items we carry, we offer a 365 day return period. If you aren't satisfied with your part, you can obtain an RA ("Return Authorization") number by emailing customerservice@autoshepherd.com or by calling 1-800-429-9150, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time. We want to know why you're returning the product, and if there's a mistake on our part, we'll do the necessary correction to guarantee your satisfaction. We'll cover return shipping costs by scheduling a time for your product to be picked up from your location and returned to us.

Items covered by this return policy should be in new condition and have all the original parts or accessories included when they are returned. Items that have been installed, but show defects in materials or workmanship, will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The information stated here is a guideline to our "no hassle" return policy. If you feel your situation may fall outside of these guidelines, or if you have questions, please feel free to contact us. We're always willing to work with you to provide a fair and speedy resolution to any issue.

Exchanges/Replacement

We always hope that you are satisfied with your AutoShepherd purchase, but in the event that you need to return a product, we're here to help. Contact our friendly customer service people at customerservice@autoshepherd.com to request a Return Authorization (RA) number. As long as the item is in new, uninstalled condition and is not damaged or is missing parts, you will be refunded in full, less the original shipping costs.

If you are requesting an exchange or replacement of the product that is being returned, you will be charged for the exchange or replacement item, as applicable, and for any freight fees applicable at the time you make the request.

Manufacturer's Warranty

All products come with one full year of manufacturer's warranty from the date shown on your original purchase invoice. Claims for defects in materials and workmanship detected during normal and customary use of the product are covered by the Full Manufacturer's Warranty.
