Shafts, Gears & Other Internal Parts Information

Why are Shafts, Gears & Other Internal Parts Part(s) Important

Shafts, Gears, and Other Internal Parts are necessary for smooth operation of the transmission. The transmission allows us to have enough torque to start quickly and also lets us go highways speeds. But the cost of this convenience is an expensive and complicated transmission that houses multiple gears and clutches. shafts, gears, and other internal parts are needed to make everything work well.

The gears are what makes the transmission work. Each gear has a different gear ratio; every one time the gear turns, the input shaft turns multiple times. The practical upshot of this is the torque gained from the process. The lower the gear ratio, the more torque is produced; 1:4.25 gear will produce more torque than a 1:1.5 gear but will produce less speed. Once the car is moving, that torque isn't needed and the transmission can be shifted to a gear with a higher speed.
